Located on the hills of Noto, this composition of sculptural species plays with the original shapes of the building, generating a surprising combination that attracts visitors’ attention.
Following the client’s wishes, this garden is designed to be enjoyed especially during the winter. The botanical selection includes several varieties of aloe (Aloe vanbalenii, Aloe striata, Aloe arborescens, Aloe ferox, Aloe marlothii) which, from late February until late March, display an explosive combination of red, orange, and yellow flowers. In chromatic harmony with the aloes, Euphorbia tirucalli ‘Sticks on Fire’ stands out for its slender stems, whose vibrant color intensifies with cooler temperatures.
Among the species of interest for their sculptural silhouette are the tree-like Aloe bainesii, the alloaudia, and the Kalanchoe beharensis, with its curly, downy leaves. The plants grow on a layer of volcanic gravel, whose color emphasizes the presence of the composition, contrasting with the light colors of the building and the paths.

A few steps away, the garden fades into the open countryside.
A circular platform designed for contemplating the landscape has been inserted between the olive trees and surrounded by myrtle, artemisia, and sage bushes. Among the ornamental rocks, golden grasses flutter in the wind.

All the selected species are drought tolerant, in order to minimize water consumption.
