The design process begins with a site visit.

We explore the project area and meet with our clients and the future users of the space. Through an informal conversation, we understand their needs and desires, while also gathering
useful information about the nature of the place.

We measure the site, take photographs, and create a survey that records the location of existing structures, trees, plants, and ground elevation changes. The survey includes also the most
important botanical information and a description of the striking viewpoints and notable architectural elements. For more complex sites, we engage a trusted surveyor to prepare a detailed report. All this information becomes the ingredients for the next phase of design.

We will then work on a conceptual design proposal, which will show the main structure of the new garden, the system of paths, the new planting areas, and all the different functions. At this stage, we will have the opportunity to introduce our clients to a fascinating network of professionals, craftsmen, growers, and artists whose furnishings, vases, plants, and sculptures can be used to create an unique design. The proposal will evolve over the course of the dialogue with our clients and with the input of any other professionals involved in the process.

Once the design is finalized, we will be ready to begin construction and planting. A team of trusted professionals will take care of preparing the ground, installing paving and all the
technical elements necessary for the project’s success. Planting will take place in the favorable season, once the main layout is ready. We will carefully monitor every step of the process.

After completion, we will remain available to take care of the new creation through specialized maintenance services and/or consultancy.
